Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Rehabilitation department using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm–7:30am) for 24 hours per week. Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
