Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Neuro department. Maintain professional accountability for care provision and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This part-time role includes 24 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts (7:00am - 7:30pm). Candidates must hold a current RN license, BLS certification, and meet physical requirements for lifting 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Eligible applicants may receive sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 or $7,500, plus access to ASN-to-MSN bridging programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
