Job Summary
RN or Float Pool position providing direct patient care in perioperative settings (OR/PACU) with top-of-scope nursing practices, utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team. Role includes precepting new staff, embracing evidence-based practice, maintaining patient safety and quality at the point of care, and contributing to education and competency validation during orientation. Onsite role with no hybrid/remote options; shifts are days, Monday–Friday, with no call, weekend, or holiday requirements. Perioperative focus with opportunities across PACU and OR, guided by AORN/ABPANC core curriculum and standards; clinical educators support ongoing specialty education and training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- 6 months of OR nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
