Job Summary
Provide patient care in Inpatient Pediatrics using the nursing process, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. Rotate weekends and holidays, with shifts running 7p-7a. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least 6 months of experience (1 year preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Must be available for rotational weekends/holidays
- Must be available for shifts between 7p-7a
- Must be available for weekend Option Days
- Must be available for weekend Option Nights
- Must be available for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am
- Must be willing to work 32+ hours per pay period
