Job Summary
Circulator RN in the Operating Room provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care by coordinating patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The Circulator RN serves as the patient advocate in the operating room, ensuring patient safety, adherence to surgical standards, and seamless communication among the surgical team. Responsibilities include preoperative and intraoperative assessments, site verification, consent verification, and advocacy for patient safety; ensuring OR readiness, sterility, and equipment availability; coordinating care among surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub staff, and other team members; documenting perioperative care and administering medications per orders; upholding perioperative protocols; supervising LPNs and non-licensed personnel as needed; contributing to quality improvement and professional practice initiatives. Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing and a State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification; at least one year of OR/Circulator experience preferred. Relocation and sign-on bonuses are available.
