RN Operating Room PeriOp 101

Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and medical record review. Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, documenting outcomes accurately and timely. Demonstrate competency in therapeutic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, and specimen collections. Provide patient and family education based on learning readiness, while maintaining confidential chart records and adhering to the nursing process. Complete a 16+ week paid orientation program covering sterile technique, surgical counts, and emergency response. Requires one year of RN experience; start date 10/26/2026.
