RN Operating Room (Part Time 24 Hours), West Penn Hospital

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes for individuals in the operating room. Assign or delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff based on patient needs and skill levels. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety initiatives and participate in department-specific quality improvement projects. Provide verbal and written feedback to peers while mentoring staff through role modeling. Maintain a safe environment by considering patient condition, intervention complexity, and outcome predictability. Document all interventions and notify physicians of changes in patient status. Adhere to time and attendance guidelines while utilizing effective time management skills.
