Job Summary
Lead operating room services by overseeing daily clinical and operational activities, coordinating staffing, and managing workflow for 7–25 cases per day across six operating rooms and hybrid environments. Ensure safe, efficient patient care while directing multidisciplinary surgical teams, including scrub technicians and charge RNs, and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers. Monitor department performance, quality, and safety; support new service implementations and technology adoption; and address staffing concerns or operational challenges. Maintain 24/7 accountability for the department, with Monday–Friday day shifts starting as early as 6:30 AM. Escalate significant issues as needed and assume charge RN roles during emergent situations or severe shortages.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Operating room nursing experience
- Previous experience working as an OR circulator
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
- Experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center operating room
- Strong understanding of perioperative nursing practices and surgical workflows
- Excellent communication skills

- Previously held an RN license in another state
- Professional operating room nursing experience
