Job Summary
Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across multiple surgical specialties while preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile fields, and managing equipment inventory. Monitor patient care, document procedures accurately, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and optimal outcomes in general, ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics cases. Requires active New York State RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and minimum two years of recent operating room experience. Full-time role with days and evenings, including every third weekend required, at a premier academic medical center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- Proficiency in general, ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics cases
- Ability to scrub in addition to circulating duties
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical environments
