Job Summary
Provide high-quality patient care in the surgical setting at RWJBarnabas Health's Level 1 Trauma Center, working collaboratively with surgeons and anesthesiologists. Ensure safety in practice by reporting hazardous environments and medical errors while utilizing the nursing process to individualize patient care plans. Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to team members, consistently setting priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes. Maintain awareness of ethical standards and evidence-based practice principles to advance knowledge within the patient care team. Work night shifts from 9:00pm to 7:30am, 40 hours per week, with weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- Minimum of one 1 year OR RN experience or recent graduate of a periop 101 program
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Night Shift, 40 hours per week, 9:00pm – 7:30am
- Weekends, Holidays and on call as assigned
- Full Time
