Job Summary
Conduct circulating and scrub functions in the operating room, preparing the environment, monitoring patient conditions, managing sterile fields, and performing surgical counts. Assess patients before procedures, document interventions, and control traffic to maintain a safe environment. Provide nursing care to complex, high-acuity surgical patients while utilizing critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced setting. Requires BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications; experience includes minimum six months in OR nursing. Full-time, 64-hour schedule with days shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- PALS Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
- BLS or CPR card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
- 6 months of OR nursing (RN) experience
- Completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
