Job Summary
Conduct circulating and scrub functions in the operating room, including preparing the environment, monitoring patient conditions, managing sterile fields, and performing surgical counts. Manage the operative environment before, during, and after surgery to maintain safety and optimize outcomes for complex, high-acuity surgical patients. Apply critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision. Requires state RN licensure, BLS certification, and six months of OR nursing experience. Full-time, 80-hour schedule with days shift at UCHealth Inv OrthoSpine Surg Ctr.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of OR nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- BLS or CPR card in hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
