Job Summary
Conduct circulating and scrub functions in the operating room, including preparing the environment, monitoring patient condition, managing the sterile field, and performing surgical counts. Ensure safety checklists are implemented and documented while communicating patient status and controlling traffic. Provide nursing care to a complex, high-acuity surgical population requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced setting. Maintain a safe operative environment before, during, and after surgery to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- PALS Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
- 6 months of OR nursing (RN) experience
- Completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- CNOR
- Pre/Post Surgery RN experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
