Job Summary
Conduct operating room nursing duties in the Ambulatory Surgical Center, managing cases for ophthalmology, pain, and podiatry procedures. Execute patient care functions aligned with state nurse practice acts while prioritizing workload and adapting interventions to age-specific needs. Maintain proficiency in telephone screening and interviewing to coordinate patient requirements. Requires one year of recent OR experience, current RN licensure, and an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Full-time 40-hour schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with no call or weekend rotation. Benefits available day one.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- One year of operating room experience
- Thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act
- Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit
- Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age
- Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
- Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills
Desired Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
- ACLS
- PALS
- Interventional Radiology experience
