Job Summary
RN in the Operating Room at AdventHealth Castle Rock (Castle Rock, CO) provides direct perioperative patient care including assessments, development and implementation of individualized care plans, administration of medications and treatments, continuous monitoring and documentation, patient and family education, infection control, collaboration with interdisciplinary team, sterile technique, and performing therapeutic/diagnostic tasks (e.g., IVs, wound care, catheterization, specimen collection). Requires current RN license, BLS, and 1+ year medical-surgical and 1+ year surgery experience; ADN with BSN preferred; EMR charting proficiency; strong communication and organizational skills; various required certifications may apply depending on unit/state. Pay range is disclosed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) [Preferred]
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) [Preferred]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Preferred]
- 1+ year medical surgical experience [Required]
- 1+ year surgery experience [Preferred]
- EMR charting [Required]
- Computer literate [Required]
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty [Preferred]
- Physical requirements per unit/state guidance
