Job Summary
Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records. Develop and implement patient plans of care while evaluating responses to ensure optimal outcomes. Demonstrate competency in therapeutic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Maintain confidential patient charts and document status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely. Provide patient and family education based on learning readiness and evaluate teaching effectiveness. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to protect patient health, safety, and rights while adhering to the nursing process and State Nurse Practice Act. Requires three years of RN experience, critical thinking skills, and a BSN or equivalent; preferred PACU or procedural unit background. Located at St. Anthony Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Lakewood, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- 3 years previous RN Experience
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- RN License in state of employment
- Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience
- Experience working in a PACU, ER or procedural area with strong IV skills
