RN, Oncology PRN Nights

Job Summary

Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate progress toward expected outcomes on a 24-bed oncology unit. Administer medications, treatments, and patient safety protocols while documenting care in a consistent manner meeting regulatory standards. Prioritize ongoing patient care using Evidence-Based Practice Standards and collaborate with the interdisciplinary medical team to manage unit goals. Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or unit educator to support new team members and students. Provide compassionate, therapeutic environments for patients and families while advocating for their rights and building respectful relationships across the multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department
  • Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas
  • NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit(NICU)
  • Schedule: PRN at least 4 shifts in 6 weeks on nights
  • Time: 6:45 PM- 7:15 AM
  • Weekends: 1 shift must be a Sat or Sun
