Job Summary
Provide patient care in Oncology or Neurology using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Administer chemotherapy, manage cancer care, and oversee radiation therapy coordination alongside symptom management for assigned patients. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld in alignment with Mercy Service Standards. This role supports new graduate nurses and offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for experienced staff or $15,000 for new grads. Candidates must hold an accredited nursing degree, current RN licensure, and ACLS certification. Physical demands include lifting 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
