Job Summary
RN Oncology Navigator at Brown Cancer Center South in Shepherdsville, KY. Educates patients and families about disease, treatment options, and potential side effects; coordinates patients through the continuum of care with the multidisciplinary team; serves as liaison between disciplines and supportive services; coordinates weekly multidisciplinary conferences and data tracking for treatment outcomes; provides referrals/support for follow-up care; travel to multiple ULH locations as needed. Requires KY RN license, Associate Degree with BSN required within 2 years, 2+ years oncology experience, BLS; preferred includes Oncology-certified nurse (OCN) and Cerner experience. Shift: 7:30a-4p.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Associate Nursing Degree required – BSN required within 2 years of hire
- Current RN license in Kentucky
- 2+ years of oncology experience at the bedside
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
