Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments, including initial and ongoing data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Synthesize assessment data to identify problems, formulate nursing diagnoses, and develop goals, teaching plans, and outcomes. Implement plans of care, delivering, assigning, or delegating interventions within legal and ethical parameters. Evaluate patient outcomes against evidence-based benchmarks and report responses to therapeutic interventions. Plan follow-up care and referrals to appropriate resources. Requires a Texas RN license, ADN or BSN, and preferred OCN certification. Full-time 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift.
Required Qualifications
- An associate's degree (ADN) or diploma in nursing
- Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Area of specialty within 2 years of employment (Certified Med-Surg, or OCN)
- Chemo-biotherapy provider course completed within one year of direct employment to an Oncology inpatient or outpatient area
