Job Summary

Administer medications within scope of practice and hospital policies while assessing, evaluating, and documenting patients' physical and mental status. Establish rapport with patients and families to identify care requirements, promote independence through goal-setting and education, and resolve problems via multidisciplinary teams. Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, and maintaining confidentiality in electronic medical records. Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops and publications while contributing to team efforts measured by Press Ganey, HCAPS, and AIDET metrics. Complete annual competency and regulatory education and follow National Patient Safety Goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • College Diploma Nursing
  • Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • BLS
  • ED/ICU Requirement
  • ACLS
  • MED SURG AREAS
  • 0 years Required
  • Thorough knowledge of a variety of medical equipment
  • Ability to administer medications per policy and procedure
  • Ability to follow the National Patient Safety Goals
  • Ability to interpret lab and diagnostic results as it relates to patients status
  • Ability to communicate with all disciplines using SBAR
  • Ability to multi-task
