Job Summary
RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician delivers oncology infusion care in an outpatient infusion center, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastic agents, and hazardous drugs, while addressing patient/family needs and ensuring culturally appropriate, evidence-based care. The role serves as a clinical resource, supports staff education and may act as a preceptor for newly hired RNs. Local travel is required; float staff may move among Cobb Hospital HHOs within 35 miles. Core responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating care, delivering patient-centered care, partnering with patients and families, maintaining competency in chemotherapy and targeted therapies, and participating in performance improvement and protocol development. Education requirements include an Associate degree or nursing diploma (Bachelor's preferred) with an active Georgia RN license; ongoing professional development and adherence to standards (ANA, scope of practice, ethics). The position emphasizes teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and adherence to safety goals.
