Job Summary
RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies in an outpatient infusion center, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, and delivery of patient-centered cancer care. The role focuses on age-appropriate, culturally competent care, coordination of care with interdisciplinary teams, and education for patients and families. The clinician serves as a clinical resource to nursing staff and leadership, participates in staff development, and may act as a preceptor for new nurses. Ongoing professional development includes maintaining chemotherapy competence and pursuing specialty oncology certification or continuing education to support evidence-based practice. Local travel is required; float between Cobb Hospital locations as needed. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN in Georgia
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Chemotherapy competence annually
- Oncology infusion experience or competency
- Ability to work in outpatient infusion setting
- Preceptor/mentoring capability (preferred)
- Nursing licensure requirements per Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Oncology certification preferred
