Job Summary
RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician delivers oncology infusion care in an outpatient infusion center, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics, hazardous drugs, and targeted therapies. Provides patient-centered care across age and cultural needs, serves as a clinical resource to nursing staff and leadership, preceptor for new nurses, and participates in ongoing education. Requires active nursing licensure, adherence to chemotherapy competency standards, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Local travel between Cobb Hospital HODs within ~35 miles; outpatient infusion setting with potential alternate sites. Core duties include applying nursing process, evidence-based practice, and striving for safe, high-quality patient care with emphasis on policy, documentation, patient and family education, and staff development. Must maintain oncology nursing knowledge and participate in continuing education; supports performance improvement and shared governance. Proficiency in safety standards and regulatory requirements is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Georgia)
- Oncology infusion therapy experience
- Chemotherapy competence (annual)
- Nursing degree/diploma with preferred Bachelor's
- Ability to work in outpatient infusion settings and travel within Cobb area
- Professional nursing practice standards alignment (ANA/NPA)
