Job Summary
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics agents, and hazardous drugs in an outpatient infusion center while addressing patient biological, emotional, and educational needs. Perform the nursing process using evidence-based practice to coordinate care and ensure safe, quality outcomes. Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff, operational leadership, and medical staff, and act as a preceptor for newly hired RN colleagues. Participate in staff meetings, in-services, special projects, and continued education to maintain competency in oncology infusion therapy. Float between Cobb Hospital HOD's within 35 miles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Oncology infusion therapy knowledge
- Chemotherapy administration competency
- Immunotherapy administration competency
- Antineoplastics agents administration competency
- Hazardous drugs administration competency
- Targeted therapies administration competency
- Age-appropriate and culturally aware patient care
- Licensed in accordance with Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Knowledge of American Nurses Association Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards
- Ability to serve as a preceptor for newly hired RN colleagues
- Ability to float between Cobb Hospital HOD's
- Local travel capability
