RN Oncology Clinician - Paulding Outpatient Infusion Center Weekend PRN

Job Summary
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics agents, hazardous drugs, and targeted therapies while demonstrating clinical expertise in oncology infusion therapy. Perform the nursing process using evidence-based practice to provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that addresses biological, emotional, and educational needs. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, complete timely documentation, and participate in staff meetings, in-services, and performance improvement activities. Serve as a clinical resource to nursing and medical staff, and act as a preceptor for newly hired RN colleagues. Complete annual chemotherapy competence requirements and maintain specialty oncology certification or 12 continuing education credits annually. Float between Cobb Hospital HODs within 35 miles as needed.

- Antineoplastics agents administration competency
- Hazardous drug therapies knowledge
- Targeted therapies administration competency
- Licensed Nurse (Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act)
- Knowledge of American Nurses Association Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards
- Annual chemotherapy competence requirements
- Oncology Nursing Society certification or specialty oncology certification
- 12 continuing education credits annually
