Job Summary
Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care for patients during the inter-operative phase while coordinating activities with other ASC professionals. Circulate and scrub in the operating room for 40 hours, specializing in 70 percent eye surgery procedures. Monitor equipment safety, document patient outcomes, and participate in monthly quality assurance activities. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with organizational policies and procedures. Requires two years of RN experience in acute or ambulatory care, including circulating in surgery settings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care/clinic setting within the last five (5) years.
- 2 years of experience circulating in inpatient or ambulatory surgery setting within the past 5 years.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- Specialty experience within the last three (3) years.
- 3-5 years of O.R. circulating and scrubbing experience.
- CNOR
- ACLS
- Pre-op area skills.
- IV start skills.
- 2 years of experience circulating in inpatient or ambulatory surgery setting within the past 3 years.
