Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the obstetrics unit, supervising staff and directing activities while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessments to determine care issues, and develops intervention plans to attain patient outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane care, providing learning opportunities and direct health information. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and delegates duties to appropriate team members. Requires BSN, RN licensure, and certifications including AHA-NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Heart Monitoring. Full-time day shift position at Adventist Health Delano.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE)
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
