Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for obstetrics patients according to established standards and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff, coordinates care with other disciplines, and employs independent judgment. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessment information to determine diagnosis and care issues, and develops intervention plans. Implements care delivery strategies, delegates duties to team members, and participates in discharge planning for continuity. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing environment while providing learning opportunities. Requires BSN, RN licensure, and certifications including AHA-NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Heart Monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE)
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
