RN Observation Unit Weekend Nightshift

Job Summary

Provide direct comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department Observation Unit from admission to discharge. Manage a variety of cases including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs while functioning as an on-shift team member. Support the unit with provider coverage between 7 AM and 5 PM daily. Work full-time 36 hours weekly on weekend nights (7pm-7am) plus one weekday nightshift. Requires current Indiana or compact state RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification. New graduate RNs welcome.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Indiana or compact state RN license
  • BLS for healthcare provider
  • ACLS for healthcare provider obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Work every weekend
  • Weekday nightshift
  • Full-time employment (36 Hours Weekly)
  • Nights shift (7pm-7am)
  • Direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge
  • Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care
  • Care for patients with chest pain
  • Care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias
  • Care for patients post heart catheterizations
  • Care for patients post laparoscopic cholecystectomies
  • Care for patients with UTIs
  • Care for patients with DVTs
  • Support from a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week
  • Drug-free workplace compliance
  • Post offer, pre-employment drug testing
