Job Summary
Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Maintain current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, CPR certification, and knowledge of EKG interpretation and NIHSS Stroke Scale. This part-time role requires 24 hours per week, including a 7am-7pm schedule with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Endeavor Health serves a community of over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties through its eight acute care hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Knowledge base of EKG interpretation
- NIHSS Stroke Scale certification
- If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
- RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Nursing
- Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg)
- ACLS certification
- 1 year of inpatient nursing experience
