Job Summary
Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Interpret EKGs and utilize the NIHSS Stroke Scale certification as part of daily assessments. This full-time role (36 hours/week) runs from 7am to 7pm, with every third weekend off and rotating holidays. Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, current Illinois RN licensure, and CPR certification. Preferred qualifications include surgical care experience and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Knowledge base of EKG interpretation
- NIHSS Stroke Scale certification
- If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date
- RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
- Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Nursing
- Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg)
- ACLS certification
- 1 year of inpatient nursing experience
