RN OB

Direct patient clinical care for preemie, neonate, infant, adolescent, and adult populations with a focus on safety and patient/family education. Obtain and review patient data, identify risk factors, and independently develop unique plans of care that evaluate patient response to interventions. Administer medications safely using two identifiers, manage specimen collection, and assess neonates at delivery while performing resuscitation. Assess readiness to learn, initiate education on the plan of care, and communicate status reports to assist informed decision-making. Organize and prioritize care for multiple patients with varying acuity, maintain a clean and stocked unit, and complete daily documentation and charge nurse forms. Demonstrate flexibility under stressful situations, function in the charge nurse role as assigned, and report near misses and equipment malfunctions. Requires current RN license, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certification; works twelve-hour shifts rotating days, nights, and weekends with call hours and holidays required.
