Job Summary
RN OB Emergency Room (Night shift) provides patient-centered care in the obstetrics and emergency room context, coordinating with physicians and the healthcare team. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, administering prescribed medications, monitoring for side effects, assisting during procedures, educating patients and families, ensuring infection control, documenting care and education, and participating in life-saving interventions (CPR and code team activities) as needed. The role includes obstetrics-specific duties such as prenatal screening, labor and delivery support, epidurals and pain management during labor, postpartum and newborn assessments, newborn care, gynecologic exams assistance, and fetal monitoring. Requires RN licensure, 0-2 years of clinical experience in acute care, BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred. Works in Flowood, MS with night shifts and full-time scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
