Job Summary
RN OASIS Reviewer responsible for reviewing and coding clinical documentation, consulting with field clinicians and physicians to clarify diagnoses, and ensuring accuracy of coding and reporting in line with current guidelines. Maintains PPS OASIS knowledge, provides educational guidance to staff, may travel to other agency branches, participates in audits and billing compliance, and supports payer rule education. Requires NY RN license and knowledge of OASIS and homecare coding; two years’ home health experience and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Two years experience in a Certified Home Care Agency.
- Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, OASIS, Coding, OBQI/OBQM, and government payment methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer data entry and word processing skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
