Job Summary
Ensure the Medication Room and medical records comply with all facility policies, Federal and State Laws, and Regulations. Supervise daily clinical operations, make staff assignments, create schedules, and evaluate work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, and service staff. Oversee quality assurance activities, participate in program development, and implement operating policies to promote workplace safety. Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff. Administer medications per physician orders, document administration accurately, and ensure controlled substance counts. Perform blood and specimen collection, process results, and transport medication to other locations or CTC Mobile Units as assigned. Maintain full compliance with DEA, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Current RN license in Wisconsin required with 2+ years of practice; supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (RN)
- Minimum of 2+ years related nursing practice
- Current RN license in the state of WI
- Current CPR certification where required by state regulation
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred, unless otherwise required by State or Licensing requirements
- Prefer experience in behavioral health/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient)
- Previous nursing experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities
- Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including the safe handling, administration, and documentation of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone
- Experience in medication dispensing, monitoring patient dosing, and observing for adverse reactions or medication interactions
- Understanding of nursing best practices related to substance use treatment, including trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles
- Accurate and timely documentation of medication administration records (MARs), patient vitals, and incident reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., DEA, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards) related to controlled substances and patient care
- Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, counselors, case managers, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
