Job Summary
Oversee nurse staffing and hospital operations on night shifts, planning and organizing staff to provide comprehensive patient care across all shifts. Evaluate care delivery, ensure customer satisfaction and quality outcomes, and facilitate patient flow activities. Provide leadership in clinical problem solving, serve as a patient advocate and physician liaison, and maintain clinical skills to meet organizational standards. Requires a current CT RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification. Schedule includes 24 hours weekly with day/evening varied shifts, every other weekends, and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- ASN required
- Minimum of two (2) years of acute or long term acute care experience required
- Current CT RN license required
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification or must obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire in position
- Within five (5) years of hire, and as a condition of continued employment, ASN nurse must earn a BSN Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field or higher (i.e., Master's degree, MSN)
Desired Qualifications
- BSN or Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field preferred
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
