Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, while supervising and directing nursing personnel to ensure safe, complication-free outcomes. Schedule and lead unit activities on assigned shifts, managing overtime and staffing levels to prevent short staffing. Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and department leaders to establish standards of care, audit clinical processes, and resolve operational issues. Develop strategies to improve patient and family satisfaction and coordinate individualized care plans through team conferences. Maintain unit equipment safety and conduct emergency preparedness reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
- Facility Specific License/Certifications
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
