Job Summary
Teach classroom theory for assigned courses, including development of outlines, syllabi, and examinations. Provide clinical instruction and supervision in the clinical area to assist students in skill development and correlate classroom theory to practice. Evaluate student performance in both settings to ensure promotion and graduation. Contribute to Faculty Organization functions, including recruitment, admissions, and program evaluation activities. Maintain accreditation through annual systematic evaluation. Requires a Master's degree in Nursing, current PA RN licensure, and two years of clinical experience. Full-time position at the Bloomfield location within Allegheny Health Network.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Master's Degree in Nursing
- Current State of PA RN licensure
- Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- 2 years experience in clinical area of direct responsibility
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- HIPAA compliance
- Code of Business Conduct adherence
- Applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations compliance
Desired Qualifications
- Two years teaching experience in a school of nursing
- Three years of hospital RN experience in addition to teaching experience
