Job Summary
RN Nurse Supervisor Med Surg Diabetic Endo oversees and coordinates nursing care for Med/Surg Diabetic Endo patients, directing unit operations, staffing, scheduling, and staff development while partnering with management to improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities include admission/discharge process support, quality assessment of patient care services, collaboration with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork, promoting a patient-first philosophy, implementing nursing strategies (employee rounding, hourly rounds), participating in interviewing and training of staff, ensuring policy compliance, and handling performance evaluations and disciplinary actions to maintain a competitive organization.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required; Texas RN license (or active compact license)
- Current RN license in TX and/or active compact license
- BLS certification required at hire
- 1+ years recent acute care experience (preferred)
- Supervisory/Charge experience preferred
