Job Summary
RN Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility provides clinical leadership and hands-on nursing care. Balances direct resident care (medication administration, treatments, and nursing tasks) with staff supervision, infection prevention activities, and operational support. Partners with Director of Nursing and Nursing Home Administrator to ensure quality outcomes, regulatory readiness, and person-centered care for Villagers. Leads, coaches, and supports nursing staff; participates in care planning, rounds, and interdisciplinary coordination; supports onboarding and staff development; ensures infection prevention practices; supports staffing coordination, scheduling, and shift coverage. Requires active GA RN license, a nursing program graduate, and at least four years of nursing experience with leadership experience preferred; IPC certification preferred or obtainable within timeframe. Night shift schedule is described, and location is Suwanee, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience
- Infection Preventionist Certification (IPC) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within an established timeframe
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and make sound clinical decisions
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Georgia Class C Driver's License, proof of insurance, and acceptable MVR
- Must pass GBI and FBI background checks (including fingerprinting)
- Must pass drug screening and tuberculosis screening
