Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acute care patients across seven medical-surgical units while mentoring new graduate nurses through their orientation on the 20-bed Nurse Residency Unit. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide high-quality nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, functioning within the framework of established procedures. Work full-time days from 7am to 7pm with patient ratios determined by volume and acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NICU - NRP
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- Nursing Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 12 months of start date
