Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner (MSN required) with 5+ years clinical nursing experience provides direct patient care, conducts comprehensive physical exams, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and leads patient management plans. Collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and other professionals to ensure safe, evidence-based care. Performs procedures, documents findings, maintains regulatory and accreditation standards, and supports operational efficiency within USC Health Engemann Admin on a per diem, 8-hour rotating shift.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- 5 years clinical nursing experience
- Licensed as Registered Nurse (RN) in California
- Nurse Practitioner license in California
- Nurse Practitioner Furnisher license (CA DCA)
- DEA Certificate for Schedule II-V controlled substances
- Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner (ABSNC or NCCA) or ACNP/AGACNP per specialty
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- ACLS (as required by NP role)
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) or exempt per department
- APN scope of practice and ability to prescribe medications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
