Job Summary
The Blood Cancer Nurse Navigator coordinates and facilitates care for patients with complex hematologic malignancies across inpatient and outpatient settings, functioning as an expert clinician to ensure safe, high-quality care. The role requires an RN with at least 5 years of acute care experience, a BSN, and current Texas RN licensure, with strong collaboration and communication to assess medical necessity and meet federal/state requirements. The position emphasizes coordinated care across the continuum, ongoing clinical education, and providing staffing support and resources to deliver efficient patient monitoring and communications.
Required Qualifications
- RN with at least 5 years clinical experience in an acute care environment
- Current licensure as an RN by Texas Board of Nursing
- BSN required
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Expertise in acute care settings in order to assess and identify medical necessity
- Federal and state requirements
