Job Summary
Oversee medical care for adults with developmental and mental health disabilities by instructing patients and families on medications and treatment, administering drugs per physician orders, and maintaining patient records including test results. Perform daily assessments, place and read TB tests, and conduct quarterly and yearly comprehensive nursing assessments. Follow up on doctor's orders with pharmacies and participate in annual meetings. Train direct care staff and drive the company vehicle when required. This role supports the Mary Lee Foundation's mission to provide care and advocacy to persons with disabilities across the nation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, stand, and walk for long periods
- Must be able to climb stairs, walk up inclines, and on uneven terrain
- Must be able to lift, bend down, and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience as a registered nurse
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities
