Job Summary
Assure delivery of comprehensive nursing services to meet resident population needs in conformance with governmental regulations and St. John's philosophy. Direct and supervise nursing staff while interfacing with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate care delivery and participate in comprehensive care reviews. Review satisfaction survey results to lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain all nursing records in compliance with standards. Implement established medication systems, report infections, and coordinate individualized nursing care plans with other disciplines. Act as liaison between neighborhood staff and administration, attend departmental meetings, and represent the nursing department through committees. Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control measures while collaborating with Work Life on educational needs. Maintain technical competencies in MS Word, email, AOD, and charting to establish high standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a state-approved school of nursing
- License to practice in New York State
- Current registration to practice in New York State
