Job Summary
Provide 24/7 leadership for the Med-Surg department, overseeing daily operations including staffing, scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development. Mentor and coach nurses to foster a collaborative culture while partnering with physicians and hospital leaders to improve patient outcomes and drive operational excellence. Requires a BSN, current Texas RN license, and at least two years of acute care Med-Surg experience. Full-time day shift with no weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Texas RN license or Compact RN License (eNLC)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Desired Qualifications
- Recent Nurse Manager or Department Director experience
- Strong Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs) with leadership experience who are ready to advance into a Nurse Manager role
