Job Summary
RN Nurse Manager leads the combined Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Long-Term Care (LTC) at Newton Village, coordinating and supervising nursing staff, assisting with admissions, overseeing wound care, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborates with the Director of Nursing, participates in on-call rotations, and may provide direct patient care as needed. Responsibilities include restorative nursing, task assignment, documentation, transfers and discharge planning, and communicating significant resident changes to Clinical Manager, physicians, and families. Ideal candidate is an experienced, compassionate RN with strong communication and customer-service skills, proficient in MS Word/Excel/Outlook, and committed to high-quality resident care. Shifts: Evenings 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Location: 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current Iowa RN license and be in good standing.
- Must have CPR certification or willing to obtain.
