RN - Nurse Lead Step Down Unit, Part Time, Night Shift

Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care activities, and initiating team conferences to revise patient care plans. Manage staffing levels based on patient acuity, assign staff to specific patients, and coach or discipline employees as needed. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission safety goals, participate in performance improvement teams, and investigate operational issues to improve quality of care. Maintain department cleanliness, coordinate equipment repairs, and work with the Nurse Manager to develop systems that enhance patient satisfaction and control staffing costs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
