Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing staffing based on patient acuity. Initiate team conferences to revise care, conduct rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback to improve quality and satisfaction. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, oversee performance evaluations, and address operational or policy issues. Maintain equipment safety, manage budgets to minimize overtime, and coach or discipline staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
